Walnut and Sitka Spruce OM
$3,500
The OM shape combines with Sitka spruce and black walnut to create a guitar that is very balanced across the bass mid-range and treble. This is a great guitar for a finger-style player, whether with fingerpicks or fingertips. With the finger-stylist in mind the nut width is 1 ¾ inches and the action has been set relatively low. (Of course, the action can be raised if desired.)
I oriented the lighter earlywood of the book-matched back pieces to create a dramatic stripe down the center of the guitar which leads the eye to the walnut stripe centered on the butternut neck. The rosewood fretboard and bridge complement the warm color tone of the walnut.
